That’s a wallop of a lineup! This selection of seiyuu voice characters that are quite popular in the series, so it isn’t as though they selected random characters (over a hundred), paid the seiyuu to make an appearance and call it a day.
Interestingly enough, this selection is an almost-complete lineup of units from the series:
Ankira is the only complete unit with Anzu Futaba and Kirari Moroboshi.
It’s nice to see a few familiar faces from when I last them at the 10th anniversary Idolm@ster concert in 2015. Being held at the Microsoft Theater also means even if I’m only able to get lodge seating I’ll still get a better view compared to when I was at the Seibu Prince Dome. A lot less sweaty, too.
This is a big splash for Imas fans attending Anime Expo. Aside from a fan panel and cosplay gatherings, this was what we had to resort to in lieu of an actual concert:
*Wake Up, Girls!, JUNNA and Minori Suzuki from Walküre are also set to perform at the event. Love Live’s Aqours, as well, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Valentine’s is over, but the love keeps going! (Not really, but I’ve been sitting on this for almost a month. Cut me some damn slack.)
It’s a special night for you and your significant other. But wait; Is your waifu/husbando trapped in the 2D realm? No problem, man! These are a few selected photos I gathered from /a/ that couples took together to commemorate their undying/minimally interactive love:
Let me just say it warms my cockles to see Osaka and other Azumanga Daioh characters immortalized in this event. These are just the highlights that caught my eye from the several threads showing their efforts. Composition, setting, and themes related to the character are what I’m impressed by, as I’m sure anyone who appreciates the effort put into some of these photos. I was pleasantly surprised that many of the participants went to town with their idols from The Idolm@ster.
Rika and Mika
Leave it to Producers to give the presentation a little oomph that’s just right for their idols. I noticed there was a little lacking in best idol, though…
Ah, there we go! I’ve actually been doing this for two years now. I wasn’t aware of /a/’s threads until this year, though — Someone actually asked what we were supposed to do with the food offered; eat them ourselves, leave it overnight like a ritual offering …I don’t know. But what I do know is, when you got a beautiful thing going’ on, it’d be foolish to let go.
